Welcome To My Laser Portfolio
This is where precision meets imagination. I design and build custom laser art using high-end diode lasers, combining CNC-level detail with artistic depth. You’ll find layered wall art, dragon-themed fantasy designs, patriotic Americana, custom retail displays, steampunk models, and even historical replicas like Roman leather armor and engraved hymn sheets.
Whether you're a collector, a fellow maker, or a business owner in need of unique display solutions, this page showcases what laser cutting and engraving can become when treated like true craftsmanship.

Patriotic Eagle – Layered Laser Art (22"x22", 8 Layers)
This bold, handcrafted eagle blends Americana spirit with modern laser precision. Designed with eight stacked layers of 5mm plywood and painted in vibrant, earthy tones, it evokes both symbolism and grounded craftsmanship.
Its flowing, frameless wingspan gives the whole piece a free, soaring feel—perfect for mounting above a fireplace, memorial, or outdoor gathering space. Whether it’s guarding a cabin in Kisatchie National Forest or adding character to your home, this eagle captures the strength and freedom of its namesake with proud, striking detail.

Laser-Cut Roman Legionnaire Armor for Messiah 2025
This was a complete departure from my usual work—and one of the most rewarding. I partnered with a group preparing for Messiah 2025, a large-scale theatrical production, to help revamp the Roman legion's armor.
We reverse-engineered existing leather tunics and armor pieces, tracing and digitizing the designs for precision laser cutting. By shifting the production workflow into the digital realm, we saved hours of manual labor while preserving the handcrafted look. The result: dramatic, stage-ready Roman cuirasses and belts that hold up under lights and scrutiny alike.
This project shows what’s possible when historical craftsmanship meets modern laser precision.

“Moonlit Bond” – Layered Laser Cut Dragon Wall Art
Most of my work is practical: cutting boards, kitchen accessories, and heirloom furniture. But this piece? It’s something else entirely.
This 24x24" stacked laser wall art features two intertwined dragons—captured in a surreal, moonlit forest scene. It’s made from 11 precision-cut layers of plywood, creating over two inches of dimensional depth and shadow. I stepped out of my comfort zone here: instead of natural wood tones, I worked with a bold fantasy-inspired palette—rich purples, teals, and burgundy.
Laser cut fantasy art like this has opened up a new creative lane for me. I’ll be exploring more grounded themes soon (wildlife, Americana, etc.), but this one set the stage. It’s bold, layered, and unapologetically imaginative.

Laser-Cut Baltic Birch Airship & Gantry
This was my first full-scale laser cutting project—and I went all in. I’ve used diode lasers for years (Ortur, Neje, LaserPecker), but always for engraving. When it came to precise cuts, I stuck with CNC… until now.
This intricate steampunk-style airship and gantry were cut from a single sheet of 1/8" Baltic birch plywood, nested in LightBurn and assembled by hand. Dozens of interlocking parts, layered gears, and structural supports make this piece both visually complex and mechanically impressive. Some rubber bands, some superglue, and a lot of patience brought it to life.
What made it possible? A high-powered diode laser that finally checked every box—cut quality, bed size, and precision.

Custom Laser-Cut Bookmark Display for The Cheeky Geek
This compact vertical display was designed and cut from 1/4" plywood as a clean, eye-catching way to organize bookmarks at vendor events. Made for The Cheeky Geek—a brand built around 3D printed fandom merch and nerdy collectibles—it balances durability, portability, and personality. The engraved header and custom mascot cutout help it stand out in a crowded booth, while the tiered layout keeps everything accessible and shoppable.

Amazing Grace — Live Edge Cedar Hymn Engraving
Live edge. Laser sharp. Quiet grace.
This 16x20" cedar wall art features a full-page engraving of the Amazing Grace hymnal—complete with musical notation, verses, and detail work preserved with stunning clarity. The natural contours of Eastern red cedar give each plaque a unique frame, combining organic imperfection with technical precision.
More than décor, this piece is a quiet reflection—engraved in wood that’s fragrant, weathered, and resonant. A reminder that grace doesn’t need to shout. It just needs space to be seen.

Layered Dragon Love — Stacked Laser Cut Fantasy Wall Art (12x10")
Two dragons—entwined, fierce, and tender. This fantasy wall art is crafted from eight precisely laser-cut layers, stacked to bring depth, color, and shadow to a single story: wild-hearted love that refuses to stay flat.
At 12x10", it’s a compact but bold piece, perfect for romantasy fans, book lovers, or anyone drawn to the powerful bond between characters who choose each other against the odds. Cut from premium hardwood plywood, hand-finished with vibrant tones, and sealed for display, it’s equal parts craftsmanship and emotion.
Whether you're decorating a bookshelf altar, a fantasy-themed room, or looking for the perfect gift for your favorite dragon-hearted romantic—this piece belongs in your hoard.

Memorial Bench — Cedar Slab with Handwriting Engraving
Some pieces aren't made for show—they're made for presence. This handcrafted cedar bench was built as a graveside memorial for a beloved father and husband. The backrest bears the phrase “Jesus Saves”—not as a decoration, but as a direct scan of his own handwriting, preserved from an old letter. On the seat, another message: “Bobby & Shirley,” etched from a note he once wrote to his wife.
No fonts. No embellishment. Just the original strokes of his hand, engraved with precision and care into the same kind of wood he once worked himself.
The bench was designed to be more than furniture—it’s a place to sit with memory. A place to grieve, to pray, to remember.
Projects like this require more than tools, but the AtomStack A70 Max made it possible to engrave a full 4-foot slab with clarity and depth. The machine performed flawlessly. The meaning came from the hands that asked for it, and the lives it will now hold.
